Join us this Sunday, September 23 for Dirt Church at Lums Pond State Park in Bear, DE. The ride meets at Area 2  of Lums Pond SP at 9 AM. (DE State Park Parking fees apply). Dirt Church rides are All-Levels, No Drop paced rides. Beginners are always welcome. Dirt Church rides are a great way to learn some new trails, ride with some new folks, and have a great time. Come out this Sunday and join the fun.

The Maryland Interscholastic Cycling League (MICL) is having the Fair Hill Frenzy, a youth mountain bike race at Fair Hill on September 30. They are in need of volunteers to help with the race. This is a great organization and event that promotes youth cycling and gets kids and teens into mountain biking.

This Tuesday, September 4 is the Trail Spinners Monthly Meeting at 8 PM at McGlynns Pub in Pike Creek. On the agenda this month Skills Trail repair, fall/winter rides, Jamboree at Fair Hill, and potential for DH flow trails. Community participation will determine whether or not projects going forward will be successful. As always we seek input and feedback from the community so come out and join us and let your voice be heard. Plus, it's half-price burger night!

DE State Parks is working on an updated Master Plan for the park. We have a window for direct comments to influence the direction the park takes relative to trails. If you want to see:
 
  • More Singletrack over Doubletrack, 
  • More Stone Armoring (where needed) over Paving
  • More / New Flow Trail and Trail Features (berms, drops, rollers, etc)
  • More / New Progressive Lines / Line Options 
  • More Mountain Biking / Multi-Use Designated Trails

Join us this Sunday for the fourth Sunday Dirt Church ride in Fair Hill. This is an All-Levels ride with a relaxed, social pace. This ride is a great way to learn some new trails and ride with some new folks. This ride rolls out of the Fair Hill North Appleton lot at 9 AM. Check the club rides page for more info. Thanks to everyone who came out for the August monthly trail work day. We had 17 volunteers and covered three of our priority areas including deberming/trimming on Snow Goose/Lenape/Logzilla and the Possum Hollow loop. Volunteers also mowed and trimmed around the Fox Rocks on Lenape.

Join us on Saturday, August 18 for Middle Run trail work. We'll meet in the parking lot of McGlynns Pub (Polly Drummond Shopping Center) at 8:45 AM. Tools and training will be provided, bring water and work gloves. We have many projects going on that will make our trails even better we just need you! Come out on the 18th and see what's going on.

Join us this Tuesday, August 7 at 8 PM in the back room of McGlynns Pub in Pike Creek for the August monthly club meeting. Looking to get involved with the club, give back to your local trails, or learn more about local MTB advocacy? This is the place to start. This month we will discuss new trails and features, skills trail repair, and the future of the club and WC/MR trails. The future existence of the club and MTB access in WC/MR depends on community participation so come out and let your voice be heard. Plus, Tuesday is half-price burger night!

Join us this Saturday, July 21 for monthly trail work in Middle Run. We'll meet in the parking lot of McGlynns Pub in Pike Creek (Polly Drummond Shopping Center) at 8:45 AM. Everyone is welcome. All tools will be provided, bring water and work gloves. Trail work will wrap up by 12 noon with plenty of time to get a ride in afterward. Volunteer trail work is what allows us to have access to so many great trails so please come out and lend a hand.
